Donor Egg program

Egg donation may offer the only chance of conception for women who produce too few eggs, poor quality eggs, no eggs or eggs that are not suitable for genetic reasons. We offer this wonderful treatment option at Rotunda Clinic.

We offer Ethnic Indian donors.  Our donors are women between the ages of 21 to 30 years. They undergo extensive medical screening, for infectious diseases and psychologically before being accepted into our programme. Additional screening for any particular condition in special cases can be undertaken at additional costs.

Egg donor programme is legal in India. The program is strictly anonymous. The donor profiles can be provided over the email or in person. The profile has the photograph of the donor and a brief write up including her educational qualifications, occupation, blood group, etc. You can make a choice from among the profiles sent to you. At any time, we have about 10 – 15 donors ready to donate.

In our egg donor sharing program we assure an average of 8 eggs to each recipient. At extra cost, we can provide a full crop which would be an average of 16 eggs. Once you select a Donor, we will initiate the treatment cycle suited to your convenience.

In some women it may be necessary to do a dummy cycle prior to the actual egg donor cycle. During the dummy cycle we will prescribe estrogen tablets for the woman to take and study the thickness of the womb lining while on this treatment. We will adjust the dose of the estrogen tablets to optimise this prior to the actual cycle. Once this is done and you have selected a Donor, we will initiate the Donor-Egg IVF cycle. From the first day of your periods, you will start the prescribed dose of Estrogenl tablets. Subsequently, we will begin the Egg Donor's stimulation. In case you do not reside in Mumbai, you will need to reach here only by the day before the Egg Donor's ovum pickup. The recipient needs to spend only five days in Mumbai beginning from the day before the egg collection.
